Weekly Elimination Pool

Our Weekly Elimination pool, another popular pool is now open for the 2012 season. Entries close March 21st, 2012 at 6pm EST.

The pool commences with the Arnold Palmer Invitational and concludes with the Greenbrier Classic.

This is a contest of skill requiring contestants to select 1 golfer each week. You can only select a player once throughout the contest and you cannot select the defending tournament champion.

The pool has 2 distinct segments and there will be payouts for each segment. Once the first winner has been declared the pool continues until a second winner is declared. Your prior player selections are carried forward to the 2nd segment and cannot be selected again.

Your weekly selection must finish in the top 25 and ties to advance otherwise you are eliminated for the remainder of that segment. The final contestant in each segment who has survived to make the top 25 wins the pot.

A segment is also over when there are no remaining contestants to make the top 25. The contestant who picked the player that finishes best that week is declared the winner. If 2 or more contestants have the same result, then they split the pot evenly.

Should there be only 2 contestants to have survived and make the top 25, then the segment is over and they split the pot evenly. The segments are also over on week's 25(segment 1) and 33(segment 3), and all surviving contestants will split the pot evenly.

In weeks where 2 tournaments are being played, selections are required in each event. Results will be calculated after each tournament based on the schedule and rules above to determine winners.

You will be provided with the highest ranked eligible golfer from the tournament field should you fail to submit your selection on time for a specific tournament. Such selections will meet the criteria of not having being selected previously.

In the event that your selection withdraws prior to start of play or fails to start in a specific tournament you will be provided with the highest ranked eligible golfer from the tournament field . Participants who have selected a player who withdraws after having commenced play will not be provided with an alternate selection.

An email will be sent weekly to each contestant requesting player selections. Player selections including changes will be accepted up until 6pm EST on the day preceding start of play. The presence of other players or changes in the Tournament field after selections have been submitted shall in no way affect the outcome of any Tournament.

No responsibility will be accepted for pool registrations or contestant's selections which are lost, delayed, damaged, not received properly on the web site or misdirected in any other manner in the mail or any other electronic means including the Internet. 

Entry Fee: 
The entry fee for this pool is $20 Canadian and payment must be sent before start of play to participate in this pool.

Preferred method of payment is by an Interac E-Mail Money Transfer from your online bank account. Please send to:

Payment by cheque, money order & bank drafts are also accepted by mail and must be postmarked before start of play. Payment can be sent to the following address:

Any contestant whose cheque is returned unpaid will be subject to immediate loss of all entries for such contestant from all pools. There is a 10% pool administration fee.

Entries: There will be no limit of the number of entries to the Contest. Contestants may enter the pool as many times as they wish, provided they pay the entry fee of $20 for each of their entries.

All entries become the property of the Contest Administrator and none will be returned.

This pool is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the PGA Tour or any other organization.

The Pool Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any contestant or to withdraw or amend the contest at any time in its absolute discretion in case of error, technical problem or any matter interfering with the conduct of the pool as contemplated by these rules.

The decisions of the Pool Administrator are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. By entering this contest you acknowledge acceptance of all pool rules and agree to be bound by them.
